Our Fish Soup Chinese recipe is inspired by the traditional Teochew style of cooking, known for its simplicity and emphasis on freshness.

We start by selecting the finest quality fish, sourced from trusted suppliers to ensure that every bowl of Fish Soup Chinese we serve is of the highest standard.

Ingredients:

- 500g white fish fillets (such as snapper or cod)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 thumb-sized ginger, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 liter chicken or vegetable stock
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
- Steamed rice or noodles (optional)

Instructions:

1. Rinse the fish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Cut them into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and sliced ginger. Sauté until fragrant and the onion becomes translucent.
3. Add the diced tomatoes to the pot and cook for a few minutes until they start to soften.
4. Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Mix well to combine the flavors.
5. Pour in the chicken or vegetable stock and bring the soup to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
6. Gently add the fish pieces into the simmering soup. Cook for another 5-7 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
7. Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning according to your preference.
8. Ladle the fish soup into serving bowls and garnish with fresh cilantro leaves.
9. Serve the fish soup hot with steamed rice or noodles on the side if desired.
