PS1 Version played on a PS3 (Downloaded from Playstation Store)
Final Time is around 2:07:13.3
RTA Timing is around 2:07:19.6 (Starts at blackout at menu)

Timing starts when I first control Gex and ends when Rez hits the final button. My first ever sub 2:10 run. I still have a ways to go with routing this category. I guess a final goal for this will be sub 2 hours with better routing. I wanted to upload a new run because my old run (2:54:51) had this loading issue with that run's video and people couldn’t watch the end of that run. The only way to watch the end of that run is for people to download the video. I may still work on this category, move to Any%, or move to Gex 3.

Here are pages that tells you tricks in this game.

Here’s my splits.

Here are my thoughts in each level.

Smellraiser: Not the best.

Out of Toon: Some mistakes here and there.

Frankensteinfeld: Possibly my least favorite scary themed level. The TV cancel skips save a ton a time here.

Fine Tooning: 2nd try and 3rd try for jumping over the water to the dock as well as missing the TV cancel. Bad gameplay overall.

The Umpire Stikes Out: Nothing much to say besides at 32:13, you can stay in this position and go up that way without going to the middle.

www.dotcom.com: Missed the death abuse strat where the computer enemy suppose to kills you at 36:23 but I fell down.

This Old Cave: First real run ender level because the first tv trick requires a good cancel.

Honey I Shrunk the Gecko: Good gameplay compared to other levels.

Poltergex: Maybe my favorite level in the game? Collecting the collectables is tight in this level.

Mao Tse Tongue: Not that I think about it, doing the building skip at 1:08:15 makes a better route then this current route when collecting the collectables as well as falling down at 1:10:24.

Samurai Night Fever: There is this better route that others found that I didn't go for and it is for the temple remote. You have to do the skip from the beginning to the swinging platform and grab the icy fly that is on top of the building. You then eat the fly and go to the elevator that goes to the temple and jump on top of the elevator. Karate kick to the temple and you will land on the lava covered floor with the 3 moving platforms.

Pain in the Asteroids: Another level that I can easily loose a minute from falling off or messing up a TV cancel :/

No Weddings and a Funeral: I should stop killing the respawns of the robot when I’m at the beginning of my third tier collectable. It would be nice if this level would have been better.

Pangaea 90210: It feels weird doing this level this late in the game. Not having the firefly at the end really did put a damper on things. When you are all done with this level, you should have 28 silver remotes. If you have that, you don't need to check at the end whether or not if you have 100%. You can play the last secret level with just 27 silver remotes.

Bonus Levels: Doing all these bonuses at the end where I can easily loose a minute by missing a jump makes this category more nerve-racking then Gex 3 100%. Levels like the space levels contributes to this too.

Texas Chainsaw Manicure: Actually a hard level to execute perfectly. Too bad I messed up at the end.

Lava Daba Doo: Slow first half. Riding the river is scary.

Mazed and Confused: Missed the TV cancel.

Rez fight: Here’s my strat for the 2nd phrase: I make Gex move left when he jumps over the Rez’s hand the first time. Then for the second round, again I move Gex left when he first jumps the hand. For the third round, I used this cool trick that was found by Exe where Gex jumps to Rez. Here’s his video about it.

End: This category seems very fun to do. But once you get hard tv cancel tricks in your PB as well as worrying about falling to your death in the game, then this category is more unsettling to PB especially towards the 2nd half. There are pros and cons compared to Gex 3 100% but overall, it’s a different concept and this game plays an interesting role in routing. It would be really good if others do 100% categories. Thanks for watching my run and reading this!
