Timing starts when I first control Gex and timing ends on the blackout of the final boss. Final time is around 2:29:40.80. RTA timing is around 2:29:45.80.

SUB 2:30! What a milestone! I finally did it and it feels great. But I lost about 1 minute and 20 seconds in Lake Flaccid. Here are my splits.

Due to the Mythology Network TV cancel skips constantly ruining really good runs, I think I’m all done with this category until someone beats this time. A really good time with risky TV cancel skips implicated into the route can sub 2:25. But for now, I’m done with this.

Compared to my 2:31:01 run, I used different updated routes for Holy Moses, Western Station, Buccaneer Program, and Anime Channel. Now here are two levels that annoyed me during the sub 2:30 grind.

Holy Moses: The camel wasn't working as well as I hoped and ruined great paced runs. I just don’t like the fact that I was relying on the camel’s inconsistent mechanics. In this run, I lost 40 seconds alone on the camel.

Mythology Network: Ever since I was relying on the Rainbow TV cancel skip and sometimes the other TV cancel trick, this category got really brutal really fast. I have had really good runs ended on the Rainbow TV cancel skip. This level will be the worst level by far if you’re going for sub 2:30, I can tell you that.

The FairyTales TV route can use better routing. I also wonder if the Gangster TV 100% route can be improved by doing the “Destroy 5 Rootbeer Barrels” remote while collecting the 100 coin flies. In the last room of the Anime channel in this run, you can actually clip into the area where the button is at. This saves around 25 seconds with a death abuse but the clip is precise.

I find no reason to continue with Spyro 1 120% but I might work on Spyro 2 and Spyro 3 in the future but for now I like to branch out to other games. Like Gex 2 or one of the Tony Hawk games. Thanks for reading this and watching my run!
