Got the N64 version for both Gex 2 and 3 and I did a Gex 64 100% run. During the run in this disco room, there was a glitch where the 2 separate robots kept on rising, allowing me to get on top of the room. Don’t know if this will be useful or not in a run. I guess this only happens in the N64 version. I wonder if you can do this glitch in a way where the robot’s head will not hit the railing at the top and the robot can keep on going up and up until maybe you get high enough to do an OOB into another room. Maybe you can get out of bounds when you are on the railing but Gex may die instantly. I currently have no controller pak for the N64 so I can’t save and test this out yet. Here are my splits for the run. Sub 1:50 may be possible.

Compared to running the PS1 version, one of the main reasons why I don’t like running this version is that the game eats up a ton of tail bounces, resulting in Gex not jumping at all.

I think I’ll take Gex 3 100% more seriously then Gex 2 100% on the N64. But I have a question about Gex 3 100%. There is this major glitch that only happens on the N64 version that was discovered by ZanderGothSRL just over a year ago. Here is his video.

So you get 4 extra remotes for doing this glitch. Should there be different categories for abusing this glitch or no? I want to hear what you people have to say. This glitch can save a lot of time by not going for the 100 coin fly remotes in 4 levels. This glitch maybe is ok to use in a run if you consider matching the intended max number of remotes in the game qualifies as “100%” or you might think that collecting everything in the game without glitch duplication only qualifies as 100%. I’m good either way but like I say, these could be different categories.
