9golgo is a fun series. i haven't seen the anime adaptation that this is from but i do own most of the viz signature compilations of the manga. said manga is made up of a bunch of self-contained stories about duke togo, a hitman for hire who barely ever speaks and shows emotion even less. it is by no means the peak of manga but, for what it's worth -- considering all of the other shit that i don't like in regard to ching chong media, -- i like it.
there's a gay little fuckin' popup on the top of my screen right now in the youtube uploading tab that says: "you can now choose if you want to allow third-party companies to use your content to train ai models in studio settings under 'third-party training'". pretty damn scary. if i was a gambling man, i'd wager some that this option is 100% on by default. i don't like ai but even more that this i don't like the people who use ai. beyond the fact that i think that ai is demonic technology in the first place i don't like how it undermines human artistic integrity. i'm sure that a million cunts have already talked this to death but the fact of ai and the amount of people who freely use it makes people trying to make real shit by hand a lot more valuable regardless of quality. i don't like the cope that aifags use in going "well it's just to streamline the process!!! i can't find people to do [x, y, and z] for me so i need to use it!!!" because people can literally just learn to do that shit themselves or find someone who works for free. it's different, man. anyone can make something that lasts but a computer never can and never will. every ai fad is always just a flash in the pan that will always be outlasted by something made from the ground up by a human.
then again, maybe it's just a me thing. i have a good track record of having objectively correct and factual opnions but what say have i on what becomes the new normal way of life. i guess i can't do anything about it other than maintain whatever crazy shit i'm doing here and outside of here, so really, there isn't much use getting all riled up about it. i think i talked about that last week: anything that is out of your hands isn't worth getting pissy over. it took me a long time to learn and really internalize that idea but it really did make me a lot happier. what's that? some fag shot some fat retard ceo because he was having a meltdown? huh? they're flying drones around the states and the middle east is a shithole as it always is? yeah? wow, neat-o. if ai is around or not, it won't change what i do -- and that isn't to say that what i do is really great or whatever, it's still kinda shit and i'm workin' on it lmao. i've always been an autist about having integrity. i was the kind of guy who -- despite being half philippino and half native (i'm not brown, though. quite pale, actually, but not in the hyperborean way) -- hated the idea of people getting ahead just for playing the race card, even though there have been people in my life who literally told me directly to do the same thing. fuck that, dude. fuck that gay shit. i don't ever want to get something based on anything other than my own merit. i am interested in people being able to prove themselves on their skill levels and earn things that way rather than getting handouts like lazy fucks. ai is the artistic and intellectual equivalent of race-based monetary handouts for self-interested people who earnestly think that they deserve anything just because they were born in to muh marginalized groups. i don't mean to sound vindictive or whatever but it just bugs me that people aren't willing enough to better themselves and instead turn to lazy means of living in order to get somewhere.
i think that'll be where that segment ends.
christmas is coming up, that's always nice. i think i might drive down to the train station in the coming days and go for a walk around toronto. i most certainly will not be posting anything on wednesday so here is a merry christmas from your boy in advance. then again, maybe i will. i do a lot of other shit besides chiptune and i've been thinking for a while now about expanding and making other kinds of videos just about cool shit that i like or maybe setting up a piano recording system and doing some short vids like that. idk, maybe. regardless, i'll always be doing these kinds of videos.
