Jiyuu no Tsubasa (Wings of Freedom) 8 Bit Remix - Attack on Titan
still haven't seen aot, still don't care to watch it. i will do the third opening theme at some point but that'll probably be the last aot song that i do.
i know just enough about the show to know that the titan pictured here is like a secondary form of the protagonist or some shit. every time i look at it, though, i just see a tanned jeff the killer with big 'ol ears - that's exactly what it looks like, right? i dunno, jeff the killer was always the gayest creepypasta back when those were big. i used to really like slenderman and smile dog because those actually scared me (especially the latter, i've always been scared of big dogs because i don't like any being that i cannot reasonably predict the movements of, and adding big teeth to them amplifies that fear doubly so) but jeff the killer was always just kinda gay. the picture was alright, but the story was the most contrived pussy shit known to man. the issue with a lot of creepypasta stories is that they became needlessly bloated. smile dog existing as a supposed chain mail legend is fun, but if memory serves, it added a ton more shit that didn't make the story better. people often use the example of nes godzilla for the "famous creepypastas that became shit because the writer added too much" thing, but honestly, i think that can be applied to like, literally all of them. it's obvious, right? the best fear is the fear of what cannot be known, and adding needless elaboration fucks everything up, because then you can know everything that there is to know about exactly how this funny little character works and behaves and the lore and all that. one of the other things i liked about old creepypastas was the immediacy of the entity. a lot of them were presented as present-day things that could be slithering around somewhere but that kind of idea is completely in the shitter now with the advent of analogue horror and gay bullshit where everything is just "le old and le scary recording!!!" and i guess that is just a symptom of people not buying the whole urban legend thing anymore, causing nobody to see the value in making new good ones because people hate fun, i guess.
i never liked scps, always thought that shit was cripplingly gay. now that they're really big, i'd probably still think that they're gay. it all doesn't really matter, i guess, because internet horror will always be around so long as people have the desire to engage with it.
that's the show for today, i think. this was a pain to export because midbox has a glitch that resets the tempo change modulator upon an export or a use of ctrl+z or some other weird situational shit so i had to manually fix that shit every time i exported one of the wav files.
have a wonderful day, gentlemen. god bless.
