52mm UV Filter For GoPro Hero 8 Black In A Ulanzi G8-5 Vlogging Case - Waka Digital UV Filter
This 52mm Waka Digital UV Filter is a really good UV filter for the GoPro Hero 8 Black when it's inside the Ulanzi G8-5 vlogging case.
As far as I can see there's no color shift, drop in resolution or geometry issues with the filter. Basically, it's optical properties are very good and it's basically transparent when in front of the GoPro's lens, except for filtering ultra violet frequencies and giving extra physical protection for you GoPro lens from scratches, dust and in certain instances it may even protect your GoPro lens from smashing and breaking.
For the the recording I shot in the GoPro 4:3 aspect ratio, which is 4000x3000 I also shot wide and with no stabilisation, so this is the highest and cleanest resolution from the Hero 8 in video mode. In post I use the centre 3840x2160 part of the frame to fill the UHD 16:9 screen size of the edit, basically giving the best 1:1 readout resolution for the Hero 8 in UHD 16:9 with the least amount of in camera processing for geometry and the least impact on pixel processing due to there being no stabilisation. In short, this is the truest representation of UHD that the Hero 8 reproduces from the sensor.
Here's the links to the test element of the video. There's a H.265 and H.264 version, the bit rate is there abouts 100Mb/s and the resolution is 3840x2160 UHD/4K.
