Because all three of the Man-Bat boss battles in this mission are identical, aside from a change of location, it's vital that you have an understanding of the creature's attacks. During your previous Man-Bat encounter in mission 7.2 - Talia al Ghul, the creature only used three attacks but they have since evolved to learn two more. Refer to the chart below to learn the attacks used by Man-Bats and how to evade the moves to avoid taking damage:
Use the various grapple points on the rooftop to land Aerial Attacks on Man-Bat or the League Assassins (Elliot and Gotham General).
Though it's a situational option, grapple points can also be used to evade some of Man-Bat's attacks.
When his claws glow green, Man-Bat's slashes will inflict Toxic damage over time.
Man-Bat can damage the League Assassins but it doesn't seem like the Assassins can damage Man-Bat.
Bat-Girl's Second Wind Skill can give her a second life but it does not reset between Man-Bat battles.
Health Packs carry over between the three Man-Bat battles. So if you leave a battle with one Health Pack and fight the next Man-Bat, you'll still only have one Health Pack.
With this in mind, consider fighting grunts on the street to earn additional Health Packs before the next Man-Bat battle. Just don't take any additional damage.
Waynetech is the smallest rooftop battle arena which makes timely dodges more important. The small arena also allows you to deal free and consistent damage on a
flying Man-Bat with Quick Ranged Attacks.
Slain Man-Bats remain dead if you respawn and the Man-Bat that killed you seems to retain the same HP they had when you died.
Killing any League Assassin will earn you one Health Pack.
Once you've defeated all three Man-Bats you'll have completed mission 8.1 - Dangerous Skies! While there's no need to return to the Belfry, if you do, you can collect a few Health Packs that'll help you survive Gotham Knights' final mission The Lazarus Pit.
