"Grand Theft Auto 5," or GTA 5, is a sandbox action-adventure game similar to its predecessors in the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Since it's release on September 17, 2013, it has sold over 60 million copies and reached $1 billion dollars in revenue in 3 days (Housden).

This game takes place in California and follows three characters: Michael De Santa, Franklin Clinton, and Trevor Philips. All three of these men live vastly different lives but they all have one thing in common: they're criminals. The player can switch between controlling any of them at will and each character has their own missions that the player must complete to proceed throughout the story line. Missions change from grand theft, bank heists, prison breaks, and a lot of murdering.

The player can choose between a third or first person perspective when controlling these characters. In third-person, it is easier to see your character and what surroundings he is walking through; but in first person you get the chance to experience the story from your character's eyes (Rockstar Games).

The main mission of this game has its protagonists robbing banks for large sums of money. But as crime bosses do, they decide that it might be better if they killed their accomplices and took all the money for themselves.

This game was released on next gen consoles and pc back in 2013 and since then has received many updates which include new cars, weapons, and more missions (Housden).



It has received good reviews saying "the best thing about the game is how different everything feels" (Altola).

However, there are also negative reviews being said such as "there are numerous bugs that will destroy the experience for you" or "it isn't worth playing because it's too repetitive"(Lambie).
