Grand Theft Auto San Andreas - 100% completion with the least amount of mission attempts
Recently I completed this challenge and managed to avoid all the Cesar Courier Calls in the San Fiero leg of the journey. I have written a mini guide on how to accomplish this for GameFAQS for those interested ( https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps2/914983-grand-theft-auto-san-andreas/faqs/78722 ). By avoiding the courier calls between the missions “King in Exile” and “Yay Kaboom Boom”, you can complete the game with the least amount of mission attempts of 160 and have 143 completed missions in your statistics. This challenge was accomplished on the Playstation 2 version of the game.
I begin by loading my save from Grove Street where I display my statistics. As you can see, I start out with 159 mission attempts, 142 mission completed, and 0 times busted or wasted. Also I took the time to mute the radio audio before saving so the car ride to the final mission will be quiet and allow me to avoid any copyright issues. With this out of the way, I begin the final mission “End of the Line”.
Near the end of the final mission, I take the time to re-enable the radio once I save sweet from the fire engine fall. At this point, the game will not attempt to change the radio station in the car and I am able to safely turn the radio to the off channel. I wanted the music back on before the conclusion of this mission so the end of the game credits would not be in complete silence.
After completing “End of the Line” in one attempt and viewing the games credits, CJ is placed back onto Grove Street during the post game. At this point you will get the 100% completed post game message and a call from Catalina. I take the time to scroll through my entire game statistics at this time showcasing the 100% completion with 160 mission attempts and 143 missions completed.
