Growl! (Arcade) CO-OP Playthrough / Radical animal rights activists on a rampage!!
Growl! (1991) from Taito studio is a good example of how to make an entertaining game out of boring environmental activism. The game immediately brings to mind the impression of a fashionable trend in the early 1990s when environmental activism was often used in a variety of mainstream media. What immediately comes to mind is the legendary Captain Planet cartoon or the nesa game Zen the intergalactic ninja. It's just that Taito in this case didn't take shortcuts and orchestrated a brutal massacre of the subject . In the game we literally murder poachers and animal traders on a massive scale . Well, seeing what is happening on the screen I think any poacher would think twice before hurting another animal. The game is a typical Beatem up without innovations. We can choose from four characters, but in fact each of them is practically the same ...... so it's just skin swap and nothing more. At least I got such an impression playing this game. And I must admit that I had a lot of fun playing it. Chaos and cheesiness literally pour out of this game in streams. This is definitely a plus, because many scenes literally causes a sudden smile on your face or a severe surprise. Overall a very enjoyable game, which may not look the best, but is a lot of fun. It's also very short, so no one is likely to get bored with it. I recommend it.
