The third instance in Out of the Shadows. A Shadow's Deeds is about trying to investigate what the White Mantle are up to. However when reaching the bottom of the Bloodstone Fen a familiar face makes a return.
Eh. This one is ok. It provides more sympathy for the featured character but it didn't work on me. I really did not like how the NPC just stood there in that first battle as everything descended upon me without mercy. Is the NPC supposed to do that? That's not a good sign and is definitely impacting my opinion on this character.
It does a good job of showing how brutal and crazily devoted the White Mantle are though.
This one requires Counter Magic Mastery to enter. Well least it doesn't take long to actually grind out though but still hope they don't make a habit of making you grind out new masteries and locking the story behind that again. Why not just make us do a quest for them, how does beating up on random things in various events help you learn Counter Magic? lol. That is the problem with the mastery system, they wanted to go metroidvania esque but in those games you discovered abilities and such in a way that made more sense and felt more natural.
