Halo Infinite: Testing Aim Assist between Native Xbox vs Steam Input Legacy
Ever since the release of Halo Infinite's Multiplayer Beta, I've been hearing complains of Deadzones and Aim Assist that was caused by Steam Input, 343 Industries later disabled the opt-in for the Xbox controllers.
Inspired by one of the recent tweets, and now having a Xbox One S Controller with me, I can finally test it out.
To begin: I disable any sort of Input Remappers in the background, revert everything by default, revert most of Steam Input settings (both within the configurator...which should use the Gamepad template by default..and the "universal" Joystick Calibration) minus for Xbox Extended Support.
While in-game I reverted in-game Controls scheme by it's default and changed the graphics settings to Medium and cap the framerate to 60FPS to ensure consistency. This isn't a super in-depth test but a simple one.
