And thus begins the point where the mapset deviates a notch. Combat gets a notch trickier here, as I have to deal with multiple archviles and a brand new addition to the bestiary. Quite a neat enemy, I'll say, even if their attacks might be seemingly easy to dodge at first. Once a bunch of them attack you at once along with additional support, you'll be glad to practice those movement techs beforehand.
Technically, there's another new enemy type that gets foreshadowed here, likely a variant of the finale barons. All the work done here might've masked the setup, but we are kinda still on an E1-esque sortie. I can see the player finally confronting these spruced up barons as some kind of new bruiser brothers type of encounter than your average Phobos Anomaly "boss fight", had it got finished.
