Hideous Destructor Multiplayer | The Joy of Mapping 2 | The Powerful & The Revolver
22As the stars weren't aligning that day, I once again return communications throne to the typing board. Alas. Also, this took a while to upload, pardon the lateness.
Anyways, a run through The Joy of Mapping 2 with the ol' HDest coop squad, this time with a particularly unique addon! You might notice in this video that players now possess a line on their sight along with weapon/item carried being shown in front of them, that's Josh's Hideous Action Bubbles. Quite an excellent little addon this is, being able to see what stuff players are carrying is way past cool when communications can only tell so much. I liked it so much that I even updated most of my sprite packs so that they'll align correctly when using this mod.
Speaking of sprite packs, was feeling a bit giddy on the D4/DE stuff, even though I possess neither the game nor the powerful horse needed to play them (not exactly Mr. Moneybags over here). Decided to reskin the guns so they have the Slayer's hands (FreeDoom ones, too, if I ever play that with HDest). Of course, I wanted to get that D4 feel in while playing this session, so I went and stripped off D4V of its main custom components to get the basic foundations that HDest could use. This has some unfortunate side effects, like zombiemans having sprites that don't match what they could actually do (having guns and all), but it's sufficient enough for now.
I went with Classic Rifleman at first 'cause it's my default coop loadout, but switched later to a custom one (yeah, even though I've carried default stuff throughout my HDest recordings, you can actually set up custom ones, really neat). A loadout with a revolver, blue armor, meds, and 400 rounds of 355. Embodying the "reloading during a battle" mentality indeed.
