Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (Nes) Playthrough / Yikes, He Did It Again! At least it's playable now
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992) by Imagineering is a game based on a game based on the sequel to perhaps the most popular Christmas movie in cinematic history, which is “Home Alone 2.” The story here depicts the situation in which Kevin McCallister found himself once again, only this time on a larger scale because by some miracle he landed in New York instead of Florida. During this time he accidentally encounters bandits who once tried to rob his house. It turns out this time that the wet bandits have their eye on the biggest toy store...... Kevin learning about this decides to stop them and saves the Christmas for other children. Home Alone 2 in generali is considered by many to be terrible crap, which is not worth wasting time on. But is it really so ? Well, I'll admit that in relation to other games in the Home Alone series I've been in contact with, this one is by far the best. This is a typical platformer this time, and not a puzzle platform game like the two previous parts from Nes and Sms. Graphics and sound are rather average and do not stand out from the competition, but we can add that the color scheme is depressing and the music is rather bland. Gameplay-wise it's interesting because Kevin basically has nothing to defend himself with until he finds an object or weapon he can use. Mainly these are dart guns or corals that can be scattered on the floor for the opponent to stumble over. There are also traps included in the levels which we have to trigger or bypass ourselves so that the bandits can fall into them. The whole game is really a marathon of learning from trial and error, because you never know exactly how to use a particular trap or which opponent is sensitive to what. This is the case at many points in the game, so you have to get used to starting the game over and over again and trying different solutions to complete the game. This makes the game unnecessarily long for a game that can be completed in 20 minutes. But I have to praise it, because I expected total crap, and I got a short average game, which in some ways tries to be innovative and surprising. Maybe it wasn't put together in the best way, but you can see here that the creators have nevertheless made some effort, and introduced some mechanics here in order to diversify the gameplay. It's just a shame that each time we have to figure them out on our own. In general, the game does not belong to the crappy ones, and holds more to the line between average and below average games. This classifies it in the black area, i.e. games that are not talked about, so average or unimportant that time has forgotten about them. It can be played, but I can't recommend it.
