How this XC Cobra Coupe Strikes
26hey everyone, we are Custom Cars & Coffee event at Midvale Speed Dome and we are chatting with Joe about his awesome XC Cobra Coupe.
He brought the Coupe about 4 years ago and it was partly restored. It's not an original XC Cobra Coupe, however, it has all the ingredients to be one with its Ford Factory Snow White Paint, factory 351 engine with C4 gearbox and the bullet proof nine inch differential. Joe has always wanted a Cobra Coupe but could not afford an original version, so his son said lets buy this and convert it, so they did.
The repainted the coupe to freshen up the paint and got the correct Cobra Decals for the coupe. the factory 351 engine was in great shape so they just fresh it with a solid cam, 750 holley vacuum secondary and added extractors.
It took about a year to restore the Coupe to Cobra Specifications with also changing the wheels, all new suspension, fixing the electric fuel pump and retrimming the interior. The trimming on the seats where an expense exercise cost over $2500 just for them as there is only one that makes them to factory specification to a tee. Overall the restoration and conversion of the Coupe is awesome and a stunning piece of the Australian Muscle Cars past.
