12To activate a primary account on your PlayStation 5 (PS5), you need to enable Console Sharing and Offline Play, which designates your PS5 as the primary console for your PlayStation Network (PSN) account. This allows you to share your game library, PlayStation Plus benefits, and play games offline with other users on the same console. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Sign In to Your PS5:
Power on your PS5 and log in with the PSN account you want to set as primary (e.g., the account used for purchases or the parent’s account for family sharing).
Go to Settings:
From the PS5 home screen, navigate to the top-right corner and select the Settings icon (gear icon) using the left analog stick or directional buttons. Press the X button to enter.
Navigate to Users and Accounts:
In the Settings menu, scroll to Users and Accounts (next to an icon resembling a smiley face or your profile picture). Select it by pressing X.
Select Other:
In the Users and Accounts menu, go to the left sidebar and choose Other. Press X to proceed.
Enable Console Sharing and Offline Play:
Select Console Sharing and Offline Play from the list.
