6Activating a primary account on your PlayStation 5 allows you to share games, PlayStation Plus benefits, and other content with other users on the same console. Here’s a clear, step-by-step guide to set it up:
Power on the PS5: Ensure your console is fully booted up and you’re on the home screen.
Go to Settings: Navigate to the top-right corner of the home screen and select the gear icon to enter the Settings menu.
Select Users and Accounts: Scroll down and choose Users and Accounts from the list.
Choose Account: Under Users and Accounts, select Account to access your profile settings.
Sign In if Needed: If you’re not already signed into the account you want to set as primary, select Sign In and enter your PlayStation Network credentials, email and password.
Activate as Primary: Once signed in, go to Console Sharing and Offline Play. If it says Disabled, select Enable to activate this account as the primary one. If another account is already set as primary, you’ll see an option to Deactivate it, then Enable your account instead.
