How to Change DNS on PS5 Console to Cloudflare or Google (Best Gaming DNS)
To change your PS5's DNS settings to Cloudflare or Google, you'll need to manually configure your internet connection. This can sometimes improve gaming performance by reducing latency. The process is the same whether you're on a wireless or wired connection.
How to Change DNS on PS5
From the PlayStation 5 home screen, go to Settings ⚙ ️ in the top-right corner.
Navigate to Network and then select Settings.
Choose Set Up Internet Connection.
Find your current network connection and press the Options button on your controller.
Select Advanced Settings.
Scroll down to DNS Settings and change the option from "Automatic" to Manual.
Now, you can enter the DNS server addresses for either Google or Cloudflare:
Google DNS:
Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4
Cloudflare DNS:
Primary DNS: 1.1.1.1
Secondary DNS: 1.0.0.1
After entering the addresses, select OK to save your changes and test the connection.
