How to Switch Audio Output to TV or Headset on PS5 Console (Best Method)
1Switching the audio output on your PS5 from your TV to a headset (or vice versa) is a common task. The fastest and most convenient way to do this is through the Control Center, which can be accessed with a single press of the PS button.
Method 1: The Quickest Method (Recommended)
Press the PS button (the circular button in the center of your controller). This will bring up the Control Center at the bottom of your screen.
Navigate to the Sound icon (it looks like a speaker 🔊 ).
Select the Output Device option at the top of the menu.
A list of connected devices will appear. Simply select your headset to switch the audio to it, or select HDMI Device (TV) to switch the audio back to your television.
This method is the most efficient because it doesn't require you to exit your game or navigate through the main settings menu.
Method 2: The Full Settings Menu
This method is useful if you want to access more detailed audio settings.
From the PS5 home screen, go to Settings (the gear icon ⚙ ️ in the top-right corner).
Select Sound.
On the left-hand menu, select Audio Output.
