What You Will Need
A USB drive or external hard drive with enough storage space to back up your PS5's data.

The drive must be formatted as exFAT or FAT32.

Step 1: How to Back Up Your PS5
Connect your USB drive to a USB port on your PS5 console.
From the home screen, go to Settings ⚙ ️ .

Navigate to System - System Software - Back Up and Restore - Back Up Your PS5.

Your PS5 will scan for a compatible USB drive. If you have multiple drives connected, select the correct one.

On the next screen, you will be able to select the data you want to back up. This includes:
