How to Charge a Phone with Another Phone & Use as Power Bank!
Reverse Charging with a USB OTG Adapter
For older Samsung or Honor phones with micro-USB ports, or if a USB-C to USB-C cable doesn’t work.
Get a USB OTG Adapter:
Purchase a USB OTG adapter (USB-C male to USB-A female or micro-USB male to USB-A female, depending on the source phone’s port). Available online or at electronics stores (~$5–10).
Connect the Phones:
Plug the OTG adapter into the source phone’s charging port (USB-C or micro-USB).
Connect a standard USB-A to USB-C (or micro-USB) cable from the OTG adapter’s USB-A port to the target phone’s charging port.
Enable Reverse Charging:
Samsung: Look for a USB Connected notification and select Supply Power. Or go to Settings - Battery - Battery Share - toggle On.
Honor: Enable Reverse Charging via a pop-up or in Settings - Battery - Reverse Charging.
Verify Charging:
The target phone should show a charging icon. If not, ensure the OTG adapter is functional and the source phone’s Reverse Charging is enabled.
