Check for Updates:
Open Settings on your iPhone.
Go to General - Software Update.

If iOS 18.5 (or a later point release) is available, you’ll see an “Upgrade to iOS 18” or “Download and Install” option. If you’re on a beta, ensure beta updates are off (Settings -General - Software Update - Beta Updates - Off) to see the official release.

Download and Install:
Tap Download and Install or Update Now. If prompted, enter your passcode.
Agree to Apple’s Terms and Conditions.

The update downloads in the background (3–5GB, taking 5–15 minutes depending on internet speed).

Once downloaded, tap Install Now to begin installation. Your iPhone will restart, and the process takes 5–10 minutes.

Alternatively, select Update Tonight to install overnight (ensure the iPhone is charging and on Wi-Fi).
