To check your TV's resolution and refresh rate (FPS) on your PS5, the best method is to use the console's built-in "Video Output Information" screen. This screen gives you a direct report of what signal the PS5 is currently sending to your TV.

From the PlayStation 5 home screen, go to Settings ⚙ ️ in the top-right corner.
