How to Connect Android Phone to LG TV to Screen Mirror (100% Works!)
Screen mirroring your Android phone to an LG TV lets you display your phone’s screen—apps, videos, photos, or games—on a larger display. This guide covers the main methods for LG TVs (2012 models and newer), including built-in screen mirroring (Screen Share), Chromecast, third-party apps, and HDMI. Follow these steps for a quick and effective setup.
Most LG TVs (2014+ with webOS) support Screen Share, LG’s built-in mirroring feature using Miracast or Wi-Fi Direct.
Enable Screen Share on LG TV:
Press Home on the LG remote.
Navigate to Screen Share (or Device Connector on older models) in the Home Dashboard.
Ensure Screen Share is enabled. Note the TV’s device name (e.g., “[LG] webOS TV”).
Connect to Same Wi-Fi:
Ensure your Android phone and LG TV are on the same Wi-Fi network (check TV in Settings - Network - About).
Enable Mirroring on Android:
On your Android phone, swipe down to open Quick Settings.
Look for Cast, Screen Cast, Smart View, or Screen Mirroring (name varies by brand, e.g., Samsung uses Smart View, Xiaomi uses Cast).
If not in Quick Settings, go to Settings - Connected Devices - Connection Preferences - Cast or Settings - Display - Cast.
Select Your LG TV:
Tap your LG TV’s name from the list of devices.
If prompted, accept the connection on the TV using the remote.
Your phone’s screen should appear on the TV.
Stop Mirroring:
On your phone, go back to Cast or Screen Mirroring in Quick Settings and tap Disconnect.
