How to Connect PS4 Controller to Phone or iPad (Complete Tutorial)
Here's how to connect your PlayStation 4 (PS4) DualShock 4 controller to an iPhone, iPad, or Android phone:
For iOS (iPhone or iPad):
Requirements:
Your device needs to run iOS 13 or iPadOS 13 or later.
Steps:
Turn on Bluetooth:
Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad, then go to Bluetooth and ensure it's turned on.
Put the Controller in Pairing Mode:
Ensure the controller is off. Then, press and hold the PS button (the PlayStation logo button) and the Share button (the small button to the left of the touchpad) simultaneously until the light bar starts flashing. This means the controller is in pairing mode.
Pair the Controller:
In the Bluetooth settings on your iOS device, under "Other Devices", you should see "DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller" appear. Tap on it to connect. Once connected, it will move to the "My Devices" section, and the light on the controller will turn a solid pinkish color.
