However, you can manage your account and initiate deactivation through the app by accessing the appropriate web-based account management tools. Here’s how:

Steps to Remotely Deactivate a PS4 or PS5
Open the PlayStation App:

Launch the PlayStation App on your iOS (14.0 or later) or Android (8.0 or later) device. Sign in with the same PlayStation Network (PSN) account linked to the PS4 or PS5 you want to deactivate.

Access Account Management via the Web:
The PlayStation App does not have a direct option to deactivate consoles, so you’ll need to access the PlayStation website through the app’s browser or your phone’s browser:

In the PlayStation App, go to Settings (Gear icon) - Support - Account & Security - Account Management.

Tap Create, change and close account - How to close your account for PlayStation™ Network - Close an account - contact us hyperlink. This opens a browser window to the PlayStation support page.

Sign In to Account Management:
Sign in with your PSN account credentials.
If prompted, verify your identity using two-step verification (if enabled).
Deactivate All Devices:

Navigate to Device Management - PlayStation Consoles.
Select Deactivate All Devices. This will deactivate all PS4 and PS5 consoles associated with your PSN account, as you cannot remotely deactivate individual consoles.

Confirm the action when prompted. You may need to enter your date of birth or other account details.
