How to Find Lost or Stolen Android Phone (100% Works!)
Steps to Find Your Android Phone with Google Find My Device
Access Find My Device:
On a PC or another device, go to android.com/find in a browser or download the Find My Device app from the Google Play Store.
Sign in with the Google Account linked to your lost/stolen phone.
Locate Your Phone:
Select your device from the list at the top.
If the phone is online and Location is enabled, Find My Device will show its approximate location on a map.
Click the location pin to zoom in or get the last known location if offline.
Play Sound (If Nearby):
Click Play Sound to make your phone ring for 5 minutes, even if it’s on silent.
Useful for finding a phone misplaced at home or nearby.
Lock the Phone:
Click Secure Device to remotely lock the phone with a new PIN.
Add a message (e.g., “Please call [your number]”) and a contact number for the lock screen.
Confirm to lock the device.
Erase the Phone (Last Resort):
If the phone is stolen or unrecoverable, click Erase Device.
This performs a factory reset, wiping all data (photos, apps, etc.).
Warning: You won’t be able to track the phone after erasing.
Check Family Link (If Managed):
If the phone is managed by Family Link (from your earlier questions):
Open the Family Link app on the parent’s device - select the child’s account.
Tap Devices to view the phone’s status or location.
Adjust restrictions if needed to enable tracking.
