How to Fix Remote Not Working on Google TV Streamer (Fast Method)
1If your Google TV Streamer Voice Remote is not working, try these steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
Check the Batteries:
Ensure the batteries are fresh and correctly inserted (positive and negative ends aligned properly).
Replace with new AAA batteries if unsure about their charge.
Verify Line of Sight and Range:
Make sure the remote is within 20 feet of the Google TV Streamer and there are no physical obstructions (e.g., furniture or walls).
Point the remote directly at the streamer to ensure a clear infrared (IR) or Bluetooth signal.
Restart the Google TV Streamer:
Unplug the Google TV Streamer from power for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and wait for it to restart.
Check if the remote works after the device reboots.
Re-pair the Remote:
Press and hold the Back and Home buttons on the remote for about 3 seconds until the LED starts blinking, indicating pairing mode.
Press the reset button on the back of the Google TV Streamer for 1 second (use a paperclip) to enter pairing mode.
On the TV, navigate to Settings - Remotes & Accessories - Pair remote or accessory (use the Google TV app on your phone if the remote isn’t responding) and select the remote from the list.
