How to Delete or Deactivate your Account on Facebook (Fast Method)
0Temporarily Deactivate Facebook Account:
Log in via browser or app.
Go to Settings & Privacy - Settings - Your Facebook Information - Deactivation and Deletion.
Select Deactivate Account, then Continue to Account Deactivation.
Choose a reason, enter password, and click Deactivate Now.
Reactivate by logging back in.
Permanently Delete Facebook Account:
Log in via browser or app.
Go to Settings & Privacy - Settings - Your Facebook Information - Deactivation and Deletion.
Select Delete Account, then Continue to Account Deletion.
Optionally download data (via Download Your Information), enter password, and click Delete Account.
Deletion completes after 30 days; cancel by logging in within this period.
Notes:
Deactivation hides your profile; deletion is irreversible after 30 days.
Use browser or app; ensure correct account.
For issues, reset password via “Forgot password?” or contact Facebook Support.
