To remap any button on your PS4 controller, follow these steps:
From the PS4 home screen, go to Settings.

Select Accessibility.

Scroll down and choose Button Assignments.

Check the box next to Enable Custom Button Assignments to turn it on.

Select Customize Button Assignments.

Pick the button you want to remap by selecting it, then choose the new button you want it to act as. For example, if you want the X button to function as Circle, select X, then pick Circle from the list.

Repeat for any other buttons you want to change. You can remap Triangle, Circle, X, Square, D-pad directions, L1, R1, L2, R2, L3, R3, and swap the Left and Right sticks.

When finished, select Confirm to save your changes.
