By default, X, formerly Twitter, enables audio and video calls for everyone. While you can control who you can get audio and video calls from on X to a degree, you still may end up with people being able to call you that you aren't comfortable with. Thankfully, if you're not comfortable with the feature, X makes it easy to turn off audio and video calls on the platform.
Step 1. Open the X app on your mobile device. You'll land on your X home screen.
Step 2. Tap the "Messages" icon in the row of icons along the bottom of the screen. Your X Messages screen opens.
Step 3. Tap the "Settings" icon at the top of this screen. The Message Settings screen is shown.
Step 4. Tap to toggle off "Enable Audio and Video Calling." You'll no longer be able to make or receive audio or video calls on X, formerly Twitter.
