First things first, we will need to download some shader packs. You can find a link in the description above to our list of the best shaders packs for Minecraft 1.19.2. Not all of these shaders are compatible with Iris Shaders though, so we suggest testing packs you like and installing the packs we know to be compatible.
For this video, we are going to install BSL Shaders, MakeUp UltraFast shaders, and Sildur’s Enhanced Default shaders. These three packs will work with Iris Shaders 1.19.2 without any issues whatsoever. There are plenty of other shaders that will work with Iris, but these are confirmed working.
Once you have your shaders downloaded, we need to download Iris Shaders for 1.19.2. You can find the Iris Shaders download link in the description above. That will take you to our text tutorial for Iris Shaders. Click on the download button to go to the official Iris Shaders download page. Click the ‘Download Universal Jar’ button, and Iris Shaders will start downloading. You may need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.
Next up, we need to install Iris Shaders for Minecraft 1.19.2 PC. This can be done by right-clicking on the Iris Shaders file you downloaded, clicking Open With, selecting Java, and clicking Okay. The Iris installer will open. Click Install here, and shaders will install in Minecraft 1.19.2!
Once Iris Shaders is installed, we can move on to how to install shaders in Minecraft PC 1.19.2. Do this by opening the Minecraft Launcher and click ‘Installations’ at the top. Now, all you need to install shaders in Minecraft 1.19.2 is drag-and-drop the shader packs you downloaded into this folder. You have now installed shaders!
Open up Minecraft by clicking Play on the Iris Shaders profile. Click play again on the window that appears, and Minecraft will open with shaders. From the main menu, click on Options, Video Settings, and then Shaders at the top. You will see your shaders here. Click on the shader pack you want to use, click apply, and click done. Shaders are successfully activated in Minecraft 1.19.2! You can change shader packs in-game as well using this method.
