About this video: If you want to learn how to get the home command on your Minecraft server, this is the video for you! We are going to be using the plugin EssentialsX to add the /home command to a Minecraft server. This will allow anyone on your Minecraft server to be able to create homes, and easily return to them with the /home command.
First things first, you will need to download and install EssentialsX. You can find the link to EssentialsX in the description above, and once you have downloaded it, simply add it to your Plugins folder on the Paper server. Restart the server, and we can move in game.
Automatically, EssentialsX allows the /home command to work if you are OP’d. However, you will first need to create a home. In order to this, use the /sethome homename command. The home can be named whatever your want.
Once you have the home named, we can run the /home homename command to return to the home. Homes can be deleted with the /delhome homename command, and as far as seeing the homes you have set on the server, this can be seen with the /homes command. Depending on your permissions, the last bed you right-clicked on will also be a home, and can be accessed with the /home bed command.
Now, if you have a permissions plugin, you will need to set permissions for homes to work for everyone. A full list of these can be found in the description above. However, some to note are essentials.home, essentials.sethome, essentials.sethome.multiple, and essentials.delhome.
As far as setting multiple homes go, you can setup different levels of homes. For example, depending on a player’s rank on your server, you could add more or less homes for them to use. They will need the essentials.sethome.multiple.(set name) permission. The set name is defined in the config.
Nevertheless, you now know how to add the set home command to a Minecraft server. If you have any questions about how to use the home command on a Minecraft server, let us know in the comments. We are happy to help! Otherwise, if we did help you get homes working on your server, please give this video a thumbs up and subscribe. Thanks in advance!
