About this video: Adding color to signs in Minecraft Bedrock Edition is a great way to make your builds look a bit better and improve the overall look of signs. You can also add other customization to signs like italics and bold text, and this can all be done without any mods. It’s built right into vanilla Minecraft.
However, in order to do this, you will need to get the Minecraft Bedrock color codes. You can find a link in the description above to our website where we have all of the color codes you could ever need for Minecraft.
Once you are there, scroll down to the Minecraft Bedrock color code section. Here, you will notice that all of the color and format codes start with §.
Honestly, this is all you really need as you can type the rest of the color codes yourself.
Next up, let’s make a sign and place it down. When entering text on the sign, type the § first followed by the number or letter for the code. For example, §aHello would add green text to the sign that said Hello.
You can combine color codes and formatting codes, so §b§l§oSubscribe! would say Subscribe! in a blue font that is bolded and italicized.
This can be repeated with any colors, and you can use as many colors as you want on your sign even different colors on the same line or even in the same word. The options are truly endless.
Nevertheless, you now know how to change the text colors on a sign in Minecraft Bedrock.
