How to Find the Voice Chat Settings on PS5 Console (Best Method)
2Navigating and adjusting voice chat settings on the PS5 is crucial for a good online gaming experience. There are two primary places to manage these settings: the Quick Menu (for in-the-moment adjustments) and the main System Settings (for more permanent changes).
1. The Quick Menu (Control Center)
This is the fastest and most common way to access your voice chat settings while in a game or on the home screen.
Press the PS button on your DualSense controller. This brings up the Control Center at the bottom of the screen.
Navigate to the Game Base icon (it looks like a headset).
From here, you can see your friends and parties. If you are in a party, you can select the voice chat card.
Within the voice chat card, you can:
Adjust Microphone Level: Select your name and choose "Mic" to adjust your microphone input volume. Make sure the volume level is in the "Good" range.
Mute Your Mic: Use the dedicated mute button on your DualSense controller or select the microphone icon on the voice chat card to toggle it on or off.
Adjust Audio Balance: If you're in a party, you can find a slider to adjust the balance between the party chat audio and the in-game audio.
2. The Main System Settings
For more in-depth and system-wide voice chat settings, you need to go to the main settings menu.

Microphone: This is where you can change your input device, such as switching from the controller's built-in mic to a connected headset.
