How to Get Audio from Program or Window on OBS (Easy Tutorial)
To capture audio from a specific program or window in OBS Studio, you have a few options:
Application Audio Capture (BETA):
In OBS Studio, click the “+” sign under Sources.
Select Application Audio Capture (BETA).
Name it according to the application you want to capture (e.g., “Discord”).
This method allows you to capture audio from a specific application directly.
Virtual Audio Cables:
Download and install Virtual Audio Cables from vb-audio.com.
Disable desktop audio in OBS and replace it with the virtual cable.
Assign different programs to different virtual cables in Windows sound settings.
In OBS, add an audio input and select the virtual cable.
Adjust audio levels and ratios in the OBS mixer.
Monitor the audio sources in OBS or Windows.
Third-Party Tools:
Use third-party applications like Voicemeeter Banana (Windows) or PipeWire (Linux) to route audio from specific applications to OBS.
These tools allow more granular control over audio sources
