About this video: Shaders are one of the best ways to customize Minecraft and completely change the entire look of it. It makes things look more realistic and improves Minecraft’s lighting a ton.
To get started, you will need to download a shader pack. There are tons of different ones out there, and there are links above to everything mentioned in this video including our list of the best shader packs.
After you have a shaders pack, we need to get Iris Shaders. This is the mod that allows us to use shaders in game.
Once you have the Iris Installer downloaded with Java, open it, select your version, and click “Install”, and you’re good to go.
Now, open up Minecraft with your Iris Shaders installation and go to “Options”, “Video Settings”, “Shader Packs”.
Drag and drop the shader back into the shader pack menu and will appear in Minecraft. Select your shaders, and click apply, and it will be active.
You now know how to play Minecraft with shaders. You can easily switch between shader packs as well as change shader pack settings.
