About this video: Showing your FPS in Minecraft is super easy, but first, I want to mention what your target frames per second should be.
Minecraft is unique in that it technically has unlimited FPS. You can set your FPS limit in your video settings, or you can set it to unlimited. Generally, when checking your FPS in Minecraft, you want to be getting at least 30FPS. That is the minimum for a consistently playable experience.
Achieving 60FPS is even better, and even 120FPS is amazing. However, it is possible to have hundreds of thousands of frames per second in Minecraft. Truthfully though, as long as you have 30FPS, you can play Minecraft without any issues.
How do you see your FPS in Minecraft? Well, all you need to do is press F3 on your keyboard. A lot of keyboards will have an F3 key, so just press that and the Minecraft debug and info screen will pop-up.
If you don’t have an F3 key, you can press FN + 3 on your keyboard and it will pull up the Minecraft FPS screen.
Where is your FPS in all of this information? Well, in the top left, you will see your FPS in Minecraft. This is the current frames per second in Minecraft.
There are mods such as OptiFine and Sodium that will allow you to see your FPS all the time in the top left. This can be good if you want to see your FPS all the time in Minecraft.
With that being said, you now know how to show your FPS in Minecraft. If you have any questions about seeing your FPS in Minecraft, let us know in the comments. We will try to help you out.
