How to Include Camera in Live Streams on PS5 for Twitch or Youtube (Best Method)
Using the official PlayStation HD Camera is the best and most reliable way to include a camera in your live streams on PS5. The console's software is specifically designed to work with this accessory, providing seamless integration for both Twitch and YouTube broadcasts.
Here is the best method to set up and use the camera for your live streams:
Step 1: Connect Your PlayStation HD Camera
The PlayStation HD Camera (CFI-ZEY series) is designed specifically for the PS5. Simply plug the camera's USB-A cable into one of the USB ports on the back of your PS5 console.
The camera has an adjustable stand that allows you to mount it securely on top of your TV or monitor.
Step 2: Configure Your Camera Settings
Before you go live, it's a good idea to adjust the camera's settings to ensure the best possible picture quality.
From the PS5 home screen, go to Settings (the gear icon).
Scroll down and select Accessories.
Select Camera.
Here, you can adjust various settings:
Position: Change the position and angle of the camera to get the best shot.
Image Adjustment: Adjust brightness, contrast, and transparency to fine-tune the video.
Clip Masking: This feature allows you to crop your background into a specific shape (like a circle or square).
Chroma Key: If you have a green screen, this option allows you to remove the background, making it look like you're a part of the game.
Step 3: Start Your Live Broadcast with Camera
Once your camera is set up and configured, you can start streaming to Twitch or YouTube.
Start the game you want to broadcast.
Press the Create button on your DualSense controller (the button to the left of the touchpad). This opens the Create menu.
Select Broadcast.
Choose your desired streaming service: Twitch or YouTube.
On the next screen, you will see a list of broadcast options. Make sure to check the box for "Include Video from Camera."
You can also choose other options on this screen, such as:
Broadcast Title: Give your stream a name.
Include Microphone Audio: Make sure this is checked to use your mic.
Include Party Audio: If you want your friends' voices to be heard, check this box.
Overlays: Choose where to place the chat and other overlays on the screen.
Step 4: Go Live!
After you have configured all your settings, select Go Live to begin your stream. Your viewers will now be able to see your camera feed as you play.
Important Notes:
PS5 HD Camera is required. The PS5 does not support standard USB webcams for streaming. You must use the official PlayStation HD Camera.
Camera Placement: Place the camera in a location with good lighting and a stable surface for the best results.
Green Screen: For professional-looking streams, a green screen used with the chroma key feature can make a huge difference in how your camera feed looks on the screen.
