How to Install and Import Presets in After Effects
After Effects presets can be installed by adding the file to the user presets folder. This is the most efficient way to import new presets to After Effects. Once the preset has been added you will need to restart After Effects for them to appear.
Once a preset has been installed you will be able to find it in the “Effects & Presets” panel is the user presets folder. This is also where new presets that you save are kept.
The After Effect presets can be added to your video footage by dragging them on, or by selecting the layer and double-clicking. The preset and all its attributes will automatically be added to the clip. If the preset was saved with keyframes then all of the same keyframes will appear when the installed preset is added.
