About this video:
If you want to know how to make a Minecraft server in 1.15, this is the video for you. We show you exactly how to play Minecraft with your friends in version 1.15 by creating a Minecraft 1.15 server to do it. We cover every single part of starting a Minecraft #Server. From how to download the Minecraft server files to how you can port forward your Minecraft 1.15 server. We even go over what to do if you want a public server or how to start a Minecraft server if you have a bad computer. It is all covered in-depth in this video! So, let's go ahead and jump right on into how you can make a Minecraft 1.15 server!
First and foremost, we will need to download the Minecraft 1.15 server file. You can find the #MinecrafServer file linked in the description above. That will actually take you to our tutorial for making a Minecraft 1.15 server, but once you are there, click the green download button to be taken to Mojang's official website. Then click on the link that says 'Download minecraft_server.1.15.jar'. Once you click that, the .jar file will download right away. You just need to keep or save the file in order for it to save on your computer.
After your server.jar has been downloaded, create a new folder on your desktop titled 'Minecraft 1.15 Server' and drag-and-drop the .jar file into it. Then, right-click in that folder, click 'New', and then click, 'Text Document'. This will create a new text document. Open that new text document, and copy and paste the amount of RAM you want from above into this new text document. Then, click 'file', 'save as'. Title this file 'run.bat', and make sure to change 'Save Type As' to 'All Files'. Now, save the file.
You will now see a 'run.bat' file in your server folder. Double click it, and your server will start to run and then fail. However, you will have a document titled 'eula.txt'. Open that up and change 'EULA=false' to 'EULA=true'. Then, save the file. Now, double click on the 'run.bat' file again, and your Minecraft 1.15 server will start right on up!
At this point, you now know how to make a Minecraft 1.15 server. You will still need to port forward ports 25565 on both the TCP and UDP protocols. We have articles on how to port forward for a Minecraft server linked in the description above. We also show you exactly how to port forward a Minecraft 1.15 server in this video.
