About this video: In this video, we cover how to setup Minepacks on your Minecraft server in order to add backpacks to your server. We go over everything from how to set up the Minepacks config to how you can download and install Minepacks on your Minecraft server. It is all covered in this video. Thus, let's go ahead and jump into our complete admin guide for Minepacks!
First and foremost, you will need to download and install Minepacks. You can find the official Minepacks download link in the description above. Once you are there, just click the blue 'download latest version button in the top right corner of the page. After you have done that, Minepacks will download. You will need to keep or save the file. To install Minepacks, just drag-and-drop it into your server's 'plugin' folder. Now, restart your server, and the Minepacks config files will appear.
Before we get into the config files though, let's talk about the permissions that Minepacks has. The most important Minepack permissions are for using the backpack, controlling the size of the backpack, and allowing items to go into the backpack when a player's inventory is full. These and the rest of Minepack's permissions are on Minepack's download page linked above. Make sure you assign them to the correct rank your server. Do note that by default, Minepacks will give all OP'd players all permissions and commands by default.
From there, we can move on to the config.yml. Here you can change the Backpack Title which is what it shows at the top of the backpack GUI. You can also change setting for dropping the backpack on the ground when a player dies. Something that can be really cool if you have the next setting on for Full Inventory which will set whether or not items should go automatically into the backpack if the player’s inventory is full. This can also be set with a permission though. Minepacks also does somethings with Shulkerboxes. You can set whether players can add shulkers to their backpacks or if they can even make them on the server at all. There is also an item filte in Minepack's config that allows you to prevent items from being added into the backpack at all if you wish.
Lastly, there are a few commands that are associated with Minepacks. These commands are how you interact with Minepacks in-game. First of all, the /backpack help command lists all the commands of this plugin. You can open up the backpack with the /backpack command. /backpack clean will remove everything in your backpack and make it impossible to get back. Admins can also open and clear other players backpacks with the /backpack clean (playername) and /backpack (playername) commands respectively.
And there you have it! That is our complete admin guide to Minepacks.
