This video is our step-by-step guide on how to download and install data packs in Minecraft 1.15. Data packs are basically mods for Minecraft 1.15 vanilla that don't require Forge or other mod loaders. Thus, this video also shows you how to install Minecraft mods without Forge. #DataPacks are also per world meaning that they only work for you and the world you have installed them in making them the best single-player #MinecraftMods as well. So, without any more delay, here is how to download and install Data Packs in Minecraft 1.15!
First and foremost, we need to download data packs for Minecraft 1.15. To do this, you have a few options. First off, you may already have a data pack for Minecraft 1.15. If that is the case, wonderful! If it isn't the case, no worries! We have a complete list of 1.15 compatible data packs linked in the description above! Once you are there, just find the datapack that looks good to you, click the green download button, and go through the download process on the datapack's official download page.
Once you have your data pack downloaded, it is time to install your data packs in Minecraft 1.15. Whether it is the Vanilla Tweaks data packs or the Lucky Block datapack, they are all installed in the exact same way. Start off by opening up Minecraft 1.15. Then, click on single player. Next, click on the world you want to install your data packs to. Make sure that you just click on it once as double-clicking will launch the world. You will then see a 'Edit' button in the bottom right of Minecraft. Click that, and you will see an 'Open World Folder' button. Click that, and your world folder will open.
Now, all you need to do in order to install a data pack in Minecraft 1.15 is drag-and-drop it into this folder. Make sure though that as soon as you click on the data pack, you see a 'data' folder. If you don't see a data folder, you need to keep clicking until you do. Then, click back one folder and drag that folder into your datapacks folder.
At this point, your data pack is download and installed in Minecraft 1.15, but you still need to launch your world by double-*clicking on it from the single-player screen, and once you load in, type /reload in the chat and hit enter. This will reload your singleplayer world installing all of the data packs that you have installed.
