About this video: In this video, I show you how to play Minecraft 1.15.1 with your friends. This is done by making a Minecraft 1.15.1 server that will allow you to give your friends an IP address, have them join your server, and allow you to play Minecraft with them. We go over everything you will need to know in order to make a Minecraft server in 1.15.1. From where you need to go in order to download the Minecraft server files to how you can setup your Minecraft server on your computer and even port forward your Minecraft 1.15.1 server so your friends can join, we cover it all in this video. Thus, without any more delay, here is how to make a Minecraft 1.15.1 server!
First and foremost, we need to download the Minecraft 1.15.1 server files. In the description above, we have a link to go and download the server files. When you click on that link, it will actually take you to our website. Once you are there, scroll down the page, and click the green 'Download Minecraft' button. This will take you off to Mojang's official website where you will see green text that is underlined that says 'minecraft_server.1.15.1.jar'. Click on that, and you will start downloading the Minecraft 1.15.1 server files instantly.
After you have your server files downloaded, we need to start off by creating a folder on our desktop titled 'Minecraft 1.15.1 Server'. Then, take your #MinecraftServer file and drag-and-drop it into the new folder that you created. Now, we need to right-click click 'create, and then click 'New Text Document'. You will then have a new text document appear. Open this new text document, and copy one of the codes in the description above and past it into this document. Now you need to click file, save as, and save the file with the name 'run.bat'. It is also super important to change 'save type as' to 'all files'. Once you have done that, click save.
Double click on your run.bat file and your server will begin to start up, but it will fail. The reason for this is you need to agree to the Minecraft EULA. To do this open the 'EULA.txt' file that is now in your server folder, and as long as you agree to the EULA, change EULA=false to EULA=true. Next, double click the run.bat file, and your Minecraft 1.15.1 server will start right on up!
At this point, your server is started, but you won't be able to Minecraft with your friends as in order to do that, you will need to port forward the port 25565.
