1There are two main ways to make your microphone louder on PS5 voice chat, and the best method is the one that gives you a visual indicator of your mic level, so you can find the perfect balance.
The Best Method: Adjusting the Microphone Level in the Control Center
This is the most direct and convenient way to adjust your mic, as you can do it without leaving your game.
Press the PS Button on your controller to bring up the Control Center at the bottom of the screen.
Navigate to the Mic icon (it looks like a microphone).
Select Adjust Microphone Level.
You will see a live bar that shows your current microphone level. As you speak, the bar will move. The goal is to get your voice into the "Good" range.
Use the slider to increase the microphone level. Move it to the right until your voice is consistently in the "Good" section without being too high, which can cause buzzing or distortion.
Once you've found the right level, you can back out of the menu, and the new setting will be saved.
