How to Manage your Permissions on Apps for Android Phone (Settings Tutorial)
Managing app permissions on your Android phone is essential for privacy and security. Here are the steps to manage app permissions:
Open Settings on your Android device.
Tap on Apps.
Choose the app for which you want to modify permissions. If you can’t find it, tap See all apps to view the complete list.
Tap on Permissions.
You’ll see a list of permissions that the app has requested. To change a permission setting:
Tap the specific permission you want to modify.
Choose either Allow or Don’t allow based on your preference.
For certain permissions (like location, camera, and microphone), you may have additional options:
All the time: Allows the app to use the permission even when you’re not actively using it.
Allow only while using the app: Grants permission only when you’re actively using the app.
Ask every time: The app prompts you for permission each time you open it.
Don’t allow: Denies the app access to that permission.
Additionally, you can check which apps have the same permission settings. For example, you can review which apps have permission to access your calendar:
Go to Settings.
Tap Security & Privacy (or Privacy).
Look for Permission manager.
Select the specific permission type you’re interested in (e.g., calendar).
Adjust the permission settings for individual apps.
