To pause or delete a download on your PS4 console as of March 25, 2025, follow these steps:
To Pause a Download:
Turn on your PS4 and go to the home screen.

Push up on the left thumbstick or D-pad to highlight the upper row of icons.

Navigate to Notifications and press X.

Find Downloads in the list and press X.

Highlight the active download you want to pause and press X.

Select Pause and press X to stop it temporarily.
To resume later, repeat these steps and choose Resume instead of Pause.
To Delete a Download:
Go to the home screen on your PS4.

Push up on the left thumbstick or D-pad to reach the top row.

Navigate to Notifications and press X.

Select Downloads and press X.

Highlight the download you want to delete and press X.

Choose Cancel and Delete and press X.

Confirm by selecting Yes and pressing X.
