How to Delete the Paterrn Lock Screen on Android Phone (Turn Off Password)
You can easily change or remove the pattern lock screen on your Samsung Galaxy phone through the device's Settings menu. You will need to know your current pattern to do this.
When you remove the pattern, you typically change the screen lock type to either Swipe or None. Keep in mind that setting the lock to Swipe or None means your phone will have no security to prevent unauthorized access.
Here are the steps to follow:
Open Settings
Swipe down from the top of your screen to open the Notification Panel.
Tap the Settings gear icon (⚙ ️ ).
Navigate to Lock Screen Settings
Scroll down and tap on Lock screen or Lock screen and AOD (Always On Display).
Change Lock Screen Type
Tap on Screen lock type or Screen Lock.
Enter Your Current Pattern
The phone will prompt you to enter your current pattern for security verification. Draw your pattern.
Select a New Lock Type
You will see a list of screen lock options. To remove the pattern, choose one of the following:
Swipe: You will only need to swipe your finger across the screen to unlock the phone. This offers no security.
None: Your phone will unlock directly when you press the power or home button. This also offers no security.
Confirm the Change
Tap to confirm your new selection.
You may receive a warning that removing the pattern will also remove any stored biometric data (like fingerprints or face recognition) that was using the pattern as a backup. Tap Remove or Delete to proceed.
Your phone is now set to your new lock type.
